We’re excited to share that The Glades Shopping Centre has received the Bronze Green World Award for our dedication to environmental sustainability in 2024!

This accomplishment is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our amazing team. Last year, we embarked on a journey to become more eco-friendly, focusing on improving our waste practices and monitoring utility consumption. Through partnerships and innovative solutions, we’ve made significant progress in reducing our environmental impact.

One of our key initiatives has been the introduction of premium, multi-compartment waste recycling stations in collaboration with Grundon. These stations have replaced single bins and made it easier for our visitors to dispose of waste properly while promoting recycling. Additionally, we’ve worked with our food and drink retailers to provide cup recycling locations, resulting in a significant increase in cup recycling.

By closely monitoring our utility consumption, we’ve been able to identify areas for improvement and work towards our NetZero Carbon Target. We’re also actively engaging our tenants and visitors in our sustainability efforts, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility, and encouraging positive change beyond our premises.
